Today I received my feedback comments from the bride and grooms that voted in bespoke wedding photographer finalist at the South West wedding awards 2015 which was held a few weeks ago at the Guildhall in Plymouth.
All my brides and grooms were amazing last year and I was very humbled to read all their comments which they had taken their time to write, all the comments are anonymous but I would like to thank them all as it shows what an impact a photographer can have on someone’s special day.
I entered myself into the Bespoke wedding photographer category as I feel this best suits my style. 90% of my day is shot in a very natural, unposed way with a small percentage creating different images using the location of the wedding with additional lighting.

One of the best things we did for our wedding was hire Paul Keppel to photograph our wedding day, his service was impeccable as were the photos he took and the album he produced at the end which we now have the pleasure of for a lifetime, Paul was amazing to work with really easy going and friendly all the while being a true professional, I would highly recommend him to anybody wishing for top quality photography for their wedding.
We can’t recommend Paul highly enough. He was friendly and discreet and he captured the day perfectly. Nothing was too much trouble for him and you could tell he really wanted to do his best not only to cover the day in his reportage style, but to go that extra mile to give you some images that were truly unique (which he achieved with some stunning imagery of myself and my husband on the rocks at little Fistral.) We couldn’t have asked for any more of our photographer on our special day, we are so pleased that we chose Paul to share our Wedding day with us, and because of that we have some amazing pictures that we can treasure for years to come.
We chose Paul Keppel to photograph our wedding and we were thrilled with his work and professionalism all the way throughout the planning, the wedding day itself and with the photos and albums. Paul has been so helpful all the way through and was very easy to work with. Paul’s photos really are stunning and he has a eye for capturing a moment and turning it into something you can treasure forever. We are thrilled with our wedding album and love to show all of our family and friends. We do hope that Paul can be acknowledged for his hard work and commitment to the wedding industry in the South West and would recommend him to friends and family.
Paul was a brilliant photographer. He had a great rapport with our children which enabled us to get the shots we wanted. He wasn’t ‘in your face’, and he made everyone feel at ease. Paul did some sensational artistic shots which blew us away and everyone has commented on them. The shots from start to finish were amazing, and captured exactly what we wanted from the day, particularly his reportage shots which encompassed who we are as a family. I would heartily recommend Paul for any wedding, or engagement shoot as his professionalism and personal touch are second to none.
Fantastic photographer!! My husband and I are from Wales and decided to get married in Falmouth. Our wedding wasn’t the normal big ‘white wedding’ it was just the both of us and Paul was one of our witnesses. We met him for the first time on the morning of our wedding. I was nervous about the photo’s but as soon as we met Paul, we both felt very relaxed and at ease. He took the most beautiful and natural photo’s, we could not have asked for more. Our families and friends have commented on how Paul captures the moment perfectly and the photo’s themselves tell the story. We chose Paul after researching the internet and seeing his website with his work. Paul is a very gifted photographer.
Paul was so professional and reassuring throughout the planning process and on the actual day. I had no ideas about what shots i wanted to he was able to advise me and I loved everything he did. My guests couldn’t believe we only had 1 photographer when they saw the amount of different pictures he took. I loved the natural look of his pictures, even the formal group shots. He made us all feel very relaxed and at ease and this was reflected in the photos. We absolutely love the final album. The layout is beautiful and tells a story of the day which we love. I would recommend paul to anyone as he made our day a real joy!
Paul photographed our wedding earlier on this year at the beautiful St Mawes Castle. Being a bride from Nottinghamshire & getting married in Cornwall I spent a lot of time researching photographers as I wanted to ensure I had the very best that Cornwall had to offer & I came across Paul. His images on his website captured me & I knew I had to have him shoot our wedding. Paul is extremely talented & captured our special day perfectly. Paul captured the essence of our day without us even noticing him being there. Our beautiful wedding photos told the story of the day right up to the most perfect sunset which Paul stayed later than planned to capture for us.

We couldn’t have been more pleased with our choice in capturing our wedding day. Paul was hardworking, discreet and determined to give us something unique by way of remembering our special day. He was professional but fun to work with and our photographs are timeless, classic, and something we can treasure for years to come. There are a lot of wedding photographers out there and it is important that you choose the right one as you don’t get a second chance to capture your wedding day. We really couldn’t recommend Paul highly enough and know we made the right choice!
We chose Paul as he is our next door neighbour and we have seen many of his previous wedding albums, which we enjoyed the different style Paul has. We had a unconventional wedding as the ceremony had been held in the summer. Paul was incredibly flexible and listened to all of our ideas and then added his own personal twist to each photo. One of our photos at the waters edge in the dark being lit by a range of lighting is incredible! The hard back album he has produced to portray the day is superb, so many people have commented on it. We are so grateful to Paul for capturing a perfect day so beautifully. We couldn’t ask for any more!!!
Paul was simply fantastic throughout the planning, wedding and post ceremony. His attention to detail was utmost throughout the day the photographs were of the highest quality and the service was unobtrusive whilst being attentive. The post-ceremony service received was the most impressive aspect of Paul’s service. The photographs were prepared within 48 hrs and when we asked if certain photos could be adjusted, photoshopped or formatted to a different size this was done without hesitation on numerous occasions. The final album was extremely professional and captured our wedding day perfectly. Aside from the actual mechanics of the service, Paul has a fantastic manner and was absolutely instrumental in the smooth running of our day. I would, and have, recommended him to friends and family; if he has space in what is sure to be a very full diary then Paul Keppel Photography should be a part of every couple’s wedding plans.

Paul was amazing, doing whatever he needed to do to get the shots he wanted… I was pleased he was part of our day and I wish we lived closer (we had a location wedding) so we could use him again for other things. Our album is fantastic and everyone has been Impressed who has seen it.
Absolutely amazing photographer not to mention an extremely helpful, courteous man. Not only did he take amazing shots for us to remember forever but also assisted with many other parts of the wedding even helping the best man with buttons holes. Couldn’t have asked for better.

Paul extra made his way all the way to Zermatt Switzerland. As we are living in Australia we could only communicate via internet on met on the wedding day. Paul was very helpful with what we discussed via email. He has a good eye for the romantic situations, was not “disturbing” during the ceremony or the afterwards reception. Paul was a rock on our wedding day he was very professional ,me and my husband hate having our pictures taken but Paul made us feel at ease and we were not made to feel uncomfortable. The outcome of our photos were amazing Paul captured the day and every emotion. I have gone on to recommend Paul to future brides.
Paul Keppel Photography provided an excellent service for our wedding in 2013. Our wedding was far from your usual wedding, with us getting married on the ski slopes in Zermatt, Switzerland. Paul stepped up to the challenge & embraced the unusual day. He found great photo opportunities & listened to our requests.
