Cornwall pre wedding shoot
Last week I met up with Mark and Donna to go through the timeline of their wedding but also to photograph their Cornwall pre wedding shoot. With the both of them living in Wales we had very few opportunities for the shoot. When they said they were coming down to Plymouth to drop off some vases to the florist, this was the perfect opportunity for the engagement shoot.
Mark and Donna wanted to have the engagement shoot near the water. Having gone over the Tamar Bridge quite a lot I’ve always noticed the brightly coloured pub called the Union Inn and thought this would be a perfect backdrop for the shoot being so close to Plymouth.
The day of the shoot the weather was very grey and just our luck as we walked outside the heavens opened and it started to rain. We took shelter under a house before moving to different locations within a few hundred yards of the pub.
While shooting the engagement session I kept things really natural and let Mark and Donna be themselves. I normally start the session using a longer lens so I’m not up close and personal at the start, to help make them feel more comfortable. Then I may offer a few posing hints or tips to help get the best photos I can for them.
I can’t wait to photograph their wedding at Trevenna Barns on the bank holiday as this will be the second wedding at the venue this month.
As usual here is a selection of some of my favourites from Mark and Donna’s Cornwall pre wedding shoot. Please feel free to share on social media, or leave a comment.
