Wedding Videography in Cornwall

Having photographed over 250 weddings, I know the format of how they work, and where I need to be. While at Uni as a mature student I studied media, so I know my way around the video side of Videography. So now I’m putting them both together and offering wedding videography. If you have already booked your photography and looking for someone to capture video, then this is perfect. I can’t offer video and photography as it’s only myself behind the camera.

Here is an example of a 1 minute ‘teaser’ reel that works perfectly to share on social media, plus an 8 minute highlight reel, I do offer a full ceremony, full speeches and first dance but we can discuss your needs and see what works best for you.

Engagement Shoot

Engagement shoots are a great opportunity to have some lovely images of the two of you together in a more relaxed and casual environment than on your wedding day. It enables you to become more comfortable in front of the camera meaning that on your wedding day you’re at ease and comfortable with being photographed.

Wedding Albums

Parent books can also be purchased when you order your wedding album. This is typically a downsized album (7×5) that can be purchased for either the parents/family member or for one or two of the bridal party. This can be a great addition to the main wedding album as it is the perfect size for a handbag or coat pocket so this makes it very easy for you to take to work or to show family members and not have to worry about taking your main album. Please contact me when proofing the main album, as the suppliers I use put discounted offers that I can pass to you.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do we go about booking you?

To book me as your wedding photographer, you just need to fill out the contact form and pay a booking fee of £400 which is non-refundable. Please note that I am unable to hold a date provisionally, therefore all dates are considered available until such time as a booking form and the required fee have been received and confirmed.

When do we need to pay the full amount?

The full amount is due 30 days before the wedding.

Do you do group shots?

Yes, I do try but try and keep these to a smaller number as possible. At a normal wedding, I would take a big group shot with everybody, and some shots of the bridal party.

How quickly will the pictures be ready?

Normally the day after the wedding I will post a sneak peek on my blog showing a small selection from the day. Then 4-6 weeks after the wedding I will produce all the edited wedding photographs for you to see in my online gallery.

How far will you travel?

As a Cornwall wedding photographer, the majority of my wedding is within the South West. With a wedding outside a radius of 40 miles, there will be extra costs incurred. If the wedding is outside Devon then an overnight accommodation will need to be provided.

Do you offer free consultations for us to discuss our day with you?

Yes. As each wedding day is totally unique and finds that I can answer all your questions in one consultation rather than 10 emails going back and forth. During this meeting we will run through your plans for the day, I show you my sample albums, and answer any questions you may have. A good place to have the consultation is at the wedding venue if possible as we can talk about where to have photographs taken.

What backup equipment do you bring to the wedding?

I have a full range of backup equipment with a spare camera body, memory cards, battery, flashes etc.

What are storybook albums?
Storybook albums are printed directly to the page, unlike the traditional albums that have photographs placed under mounts. Each storybook album is designed exclusively by myself so no two albums will be the same. A storybook album’s pages are lay flat which means that images can be spread seamlessly across both pages. All the photographs are printed on to nice think pages, unlike the thin magazine style.

How long does it take to receive the album?

I use a UK-based company that hand make wedding albums, the turnaround time is generally less than 2 weeks from sending the design to the printer to the album’s arrival.

I would like an album for my parents. How would this work?

The parent album is a popular choice and can either be a smaller copy of the main wedding album.

Do you do a pre-wedding site visit?

If I’m passing by or near the wedding venue I often will swing by and have a look around. If the bridal prep is at the same location as the ceremony I will arrive early to have a look around. Otherwise, the scouting will be done on the day of the wedding.

Do you do a pre-wedding/engagement shoot?

I love shooting pre-wedding/engagement shoots, they are a great way of getting to know the couple who may be a little nervous in front of the camera. Please see my Engagement page for more information.

Are you insured?

Yes, I am fully insured. I have professional indemnity insurance along with public liability insurance.
