Sara & Si’s Engagement Shoot Cornwall

The engagement shoot took place at The Cove restaurant at Maenporth beach. Si works away and actually came back 2 weeks before the wedding which didn’t leave us much time to get some engagement shoot photographs. Si and Sara booked a meal for 7.30pm and we met in the car park before hand. We were very lucky with the weather as it had been raining most of the day and was a slight drizzy when we arrived. I assured them both that this was the perfect weather for the photographs as the light was really soft and flattering.

I turned up 30mins for the the engagement shoot so I could look for some places to shoot, some times the most obvious places are the best.

 

Engagement Shoot Cornwall -The cove

When Paul offered us the chance of an engagement shoot, we jumped at the chance. But then after thinking about where to have location and how to pose we both started to get nervous. We struggled to think of somewhere amazing and due to circumstances ended up having pictures down on Maenporth beach. Paul had wondered around the beach and surroundings to find the best picture locations. When he suggested certain backgrounds we were both a bit shocked but put total faith in him.
We have been amazed at how good these pictures look.
When he started taking pictures Sara and I were saying to each other how ridiculous we feel. But Paul calmed us down and told us to act normal and laugh or have a conversation with each other and he will just snap away. This put Sara and I at ease and made us enjoy the photoshoot, mainly because weren’t trying to pose but be more our natural happy selves.

After the shoot Paul was quick to upload pictures so we could see some of the best pictures. They were a massive hit on Facebook.

The engagement shoot is such a great idea that Paul offers as we now feel ready for our big day and know how to act around the camera. I would recommend any couple who are looking to get married to take this opportunity before their wedding.

The pictures we have from our engagement shoot are amazing and when it came to choosing one for our signing board it was a really hard choice as we loved them all.
