Carbis Bay Hotel Wedding
This was my first Carbis Bay Hotel Wedding, and what I beautiful setting Martyn and Sarah chose for their wedding.
The day started with the usual bridal prep shots in the Hotel’s honeymoon suite, where all the girls had their hair and makeup done. This allowed me to grab some candid shots of everybody getting ready before we headed downstairs to the Conservatory for the wedding reception. The reception was beautiful with tears of emotion coming from the bridesmaids.
When then headed off on to the lawn for some quick formal photographs then rushed down to the beach to make some beautiful shots of the bride and groom. With the wedding being in November it did not take long for it to start getting dark.
The speeches were some of the best I’ve heard at a wedding at Carbis Bay Hotel, I beautiful story from Martyn’s dad about how he melted down his wedding ring to make two gifts, one for Sarah and one for his wife. Martyn had two best man for his wedding, and both gave some truly emotional but also funny speeches.
As I’ve know Sarah for a number of years, I was invited to stay after the first dance to join in on the party. Off duty, but still armed with my camera, I managed to capture some hilarious dancing going on on the dance floor.
Every package I offer includes a wedding album, so I like to finish the album with a cool outdoors shot, using some off camera flash or any lights that are available. I spotted some fairy lights on one of the trees in the hotel’s garden and used them to my advantage.
As usual, here is a selection of some of my favourite shots from Martyn & Sarah’s Carbis Bay Hotel Wedding. Please feel free to share on social media, or leave a comment – I love those and always try to respond too.
Some of the images were featured in the WED magazines “This Week In Wed World”
