Wedding photography at Tregenna Castle
Wedding photography at Tregenna Castle
Tony and Wendy booked me for their wedding photography at Tregenna Castle in St Ives, about a year ago. Wendy got in touch with me after a recommendation from one of my previous clients Chris who owns Babalu films and would be filming the wedding. Tregenna Castle has been on my wish list of Cornwall wedding venues for some time so it was great to photograph my first wedding there.
The day started with black clouds and heavy downpours but this didn’t dampen the spirit of Wendy and her bridesmaids or Tony who hired an Aston Martin DB9 for the weekend while they were in Cornwall.
With the weather looking a bit unpredictable it was decided that the wedding ceremony would be in doors in the Godrevy Suite instead of being held in the pavilion on the lawn.
After the wedding breakfast we made use of some free time and went over to the Carbis Bay Hotel to use their beach for some photographs. This was a must for Wendy, whatever the weather, as she was keen to have a little paddle in the sea in her dress.
With it starting to get dark Wendy informed me that they had surprise fireworks being let off from behind the Pavilion, so I set up a dramatic shot in the pavilion before all the guest were invited out to watch the fireworks.
As usual here is a selection of some of my favourites from Tony and Wendy’s wedding photography at Tregenna Castle. Please feel free to share on social media, or leave a comment.
