As a Cornwall wedding photographer, I’ve worked at The Green Cornwall several times, and it’s always been a dream.
The hideaway patchwork of revitalising green terrain is carpeted with an alternating spread of wildflower blooms, botanical archways created by overhanging trees, a lake, pretty country lanes, a lavender field and more. Planning your wedding day
Just in view is Bodmin Moor, the beginnings of which brush the perimeters of The Green’s grounds. Beyond lies the Tamar Valley on the very edge of Cornwall’s borders, an Area Of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
Just beyond the Tamar Valley is Dartmoor, a feast of deep woodland, wild moorlands and rushing river valleys.
Each of these epic landscapes is drizzled with waterways, wildlife and ancient relics. Tors, hut circles, stone circles, old mining villages, dolmens, rare birds and rousing vistas make these valleys, peaks and hills places you climb to feel the fullest of life again.
Yet that’s not all that surrounds us.
In the other direction is Looe, further on Fowey and St Austell, all less than an hour’s drive away. In these much-loved Cornish towns, you’ll find sublime beaches and bays, pretty Cornish harbours, historic Cornish settlements and a wide range of top Cornish attractions. No surprise then, that this region is a top Cornwall destination.
The area has been settled by people since the early days of man. From its boom years during the Industrial Revolution to its many settlements during medieval times, there’s tons of history here.
