Penmorvah Manor Hotel wedding –
Friday saw me photograph Lee and Erin’s wedding at the Penmorvah Manor Hotel on a lovely blue skied day.
The Penmorvah is set in a stunning location just outside Falmouth, where you have the option of getting married down the road at Budock church or having the ceremony in the hotel. With beautiful gardens and sea views overlooking the valley towards Maenporth, this made a perfect setting for Lee and Erin’s wedding.
The day started with me arriving 45mins before the ceremony and meeting Erin up in the honeymoon suite. To my shock Erin and her two Bridesmaids were all ready and dressed, which is unusual 30mins before the wedding.
The ceremony was beautiful, with a couple of readings and a song sung by two singers and a guitarist. I was even up staged by the flower girl, who wanted to get in on the action with her own water pistol camera. Haha
After the main course at the wedding breakfast, the speeches started, some very touching speeches and an extremely emotional one by Erin’s dad which had loads of the guests with tears in their eyes.
With the groups photos over running, we did some nice shots of the couple together after the meal. The Penmorvah has a swing from a tree branch, which 90% of all the photos I’ve seen included it. I wanted to give Erin and Lee something different, so the day before I did a venue visit. I saw some stone stairs with lots of flower pots and thought it would be a nice place for some photos.
From what I’ve seen on Facebook the evening’s photographs looked like it was a very enjoyable night had by all.
I hope you both enjoyed every moment of your big day and I wish you all the best for the future.
As usual a few of my favourites from the wedding are shown below. Please feel free to share on social media or comment.
Here is some feedback from Erin and Lee
