I had the pleasure of meeting Tom & Kylie at the Alverton Hotel wedding fayre quite a while back and was excited when they booked me as the Alverton Hotel is one of my favourite venues to photograph.

Kylie was really organised during the bridal prep which was great as she was in her dress a good 45mins before the ceremony which gave us loads of time to take photographs of the girls getting ready in the bridal suite.

For the evening entertainment, we had Cornwall Disco with their LED dance floor, this was an instant liking by all the children doing some crazy dancing and keeping everyone entertained.

To finish the day the balcony in the great hall is a cool place to create something different, having photographed quite a few couples on the balcony I like to keep the photographs unique to them and not copy previous photos. As you can see Tom & Kylie were keen to give it ago.

Alverton Hotel Wedding in Truro

A few words from Kylie:

From the start of the day when I looked out the window and saw the sun I felt relief and confidence for the day ahead.

For me, following a major health scare, I really did not think this day would come but it did and it was an emotional day for all present and even those that could not be there. I am from New Zealand so a large proportion of family could not be there but unknown to me my mother had put together a little video message from those that couldn’t make it.

Everything ran smoothly and all the suppliers proved that we chose well, they all provided what they promised and this, in turn, leads to a very memorable stress-free day. In particular, we were very happy with the quality of the photographer Paul Keppel. After browsing on websites for a photographer we felt his style would work well with us. We then met him at the Alverton Hotel wedding fair and felt confident in his style, we live out of town but had no difficulty in communication with him, emails were answered promptly and then a face to face meeting was arranged when we travelled down to Cornwall.

His attitude on the day was very calm which kept us calm and after viewing his work we are extremely pleased with everything he has done for us. There are natural photos which captured the feel of the day and even the couple shots seem natural and not posed… just what we wanted. In all, I would not have any hesitation in recommending his service.
