Trevenna Barns is the perfect wedding venue if you are looking for a Cornish countryside wedding. Trevenna has 6 barns sleeping up to 40 guests set within142 acres of some of Cornwall’s most picturesque countryside. Trevenna Barns is licensed for Civil Ceremonies and Civil Partnerships. Weather dependent, the ceremony can be held out on the lawn in the Abour or inside within the Threshing Barn. Traditional ceremonies are also held in St. Neot Church, about 1 mile away.
Trevenna Barns is situated on the edge of Bodmin Moor just minutes from the A30 making it very easy to access by car, or you can use one of the fields next to the barns to land a helicopter. (see Marc & Claire’s wedding)
I have been very lucky in the weddings I have covered at Trevenna Barns as the weather has been warm & sunny on each occasion so the wedding ceremonies have been held outside on the lawn. The Bride may prepare for the ceremony in the barn overlooking the pond and lawn with a perfect view of the guests taking their seats for the ceremony. After the wedding ceremony there is access to some stunning locations around the barns. Set next to the Abour is the pond which is always a favourite place to have pictures, either intimate photographs or, as you gather your guests, a formal group shot. The pond provides a romantic setting for some lovely pictures or if your lucky enough to find some blue bells in the month of May.
Jonathan and Kim and all the staff are very helpful and the food and service is always first class. The wedding reception is held in a purpose built marquee attached to the Threshing Barn; creating the sence of a marquee set in the countryside yet with all the comforts of a hotel.
