What a fun-filled wedding at Knightor Winery this was. I thought this could be quite a lively wedding, what with Matt being very well known on the Cornish rugby scene. At our meeting a couple of days before the wedding they said Bingo would be played after the wedding breakfast (not really the normal thing I would have associated with a rugby crowd and a wedding)!

But I have to say it made it great fun, with the prizes (blow-up musical instruments) that lead everybody dancing on the tables and chairs, jumping up and down and singing at the top of their voices, I kid you not that you could feel the floor moving….  I’ll let the photos tell the rest of the story. It was such a please to photograph this wedding.

As usual, here is a selection of favourite from their a wedding at Knightor Winery.  Please feel free to share on social media, or leave a comment.

How did you first meet?

We first met in a group of friends and blossomed from there.

Please describe the wedding proposal in Cornwall?

It was on Matt’s birthday.- a walk with the dogs on Perranporth beach ( the rings were sandcastle with sand from Perranporth). A place where is close to our hearts as our dogs love the beach and the picturesque views are mesmerising.

The dress – where did you find it, and what was it like? Who did you take with you dress shopping and how did you find the whole experience?

Ellie found her dress online-she always knew she didn’t want anything to princessey. She loved her bridesmaid dresses so much she brought the same but in white.

What where the reasons for choosing your wedding venue?

We choose our venue because of its location and cosy it felt when we visited in the summer months.

When planning your wedding, did you have any help or did you do it mostly yourselves? What were the most important aspects for you (eg. the photographer, the food, the decor…)?

Ellie planned the most important parts of our day

What was your wedding inspiration? (think decor, overall theme and feel of the day, etc)

We handmade all the decorations ,invitations, table plans and flower arrangements.

Describe some of your favourite wedding details and how you came up with them.

We had Polaroid pictures of everyone who came to the wedding surrounded by fairy lights as we wanted everyone to feel like they were part of our day.

Bride: What advice would you give to future brides for their wedding day?

Just relax.

Groom: What advice would you give to future grooms for their wedding day?

Relax and don’t have an ugly crying face when your bride to be is walking down the aisle.

Any advice for those planning their wedding now?

Don’t worry about all the little things. The main thing is that all the people who mean a lot to you and your partner are with you.

What’s your top tip for saving money?

Don’t over buy on all the little things. You pretty much all of it yourselves

… and which elements of your wedding are you glad you spent more on?

The photographer as photo last a lifetime.
