Knightor winery wedding
I was very excited to be photographing Glen & Alison’s Knightor winery wedding. This is the first wedding I’ve photographed there, so I visited the day before while Glen & Alison were putting up their decorations. I love the rustic barn feel the venue has plus the added bonus of the vine yard nearby for photographs.
The great thing about the Knightor wedding venue is that you have exclusive use, so my day started with some bridal photographs in the venues own site self-catering house. I could not have asked for a better room as there was beautiful light flooding in through the big windows. I’m not sure who was more excited about wearing their dress Alison or her daughter. We took full advantage of the huge window on the stairs to capture a moment between Alison and her daughter, it’s one of my favourites photographs which actually won an a Highly Commended award with the Societies of Wedding and Portrait Photographers in the Reportage category.
Soon enough it was time to head to St Mewan Church for the wedding ceremony. This is one of my favourite times to captures true emotion between the bride and groom, and from their family behind them.
After ceremony we headed back to the Knightor for some Pimms and canapés, then we nipped off into the grounds for some bridal portraits amongst the grape vines before heading in for the wedding breakfast.
With some beautiful and emotional speeches after the wedding breakfast, this lead us into the cake cutting and then the first dance, not forgetting the bouquet toss from the first floor window before we lost the light. The evening’s entertainment was the band Straw Dogs, they had everybody on the dance floor by the time I left.
As usual here is a selection of some of my favourites from a Knightor Winery wedding. Please feel free to share on social media, or leave a comment.
