Weddings at Trevenna Barns | Neil & Rachael
This was the first of my back to back weddings at Trevenna Barns this month, and one of the wettest to say the least.
On arriving at the Barns everybody was in high spirits and didn’t let the rain put a dampener on the special day. This meant that the ceremony would be held in the Barns which gave a really cosy atmosphere to the ceremony.
The great thing about weddings at Trevenna Barns is I not only get to photograph the bride getting ready but also the groom. Due to the inclement weather I took the groom over to one of the barns and opened the French doors to use the beautiful diffused light from the rain clouds but still keep him dry. We then headed back to the Groom’s room to get some shots of the guys and girls getting ready. This was also my first wedding that included a “best women” instead of a best man in the bridal party.
The ceremony was beautiful and was followed by some lovely readings. The guests then enjoyed some drinks while the ceremony room was cleared so that we could organise the group photographs inside. We even had Neil & Rachael’s two dogs make an appearance for a photograph, and they dressed up for the occasion sporting doggy bowtie.
After the speeches, despite not having a break in the rain for the whole day, Neil and Rachael donned their wellies and grabbed an umbrella to brave the weather for 10mins of photographs outside. We headed for cover as much as we could so we didn’t get too wet.
As usual, here is a selection of some of my favourites from Neil & Rachael’s wedding in Trevenna Barns. Please feel free to share on social media, or leave a comment.

haha it rained from 9am-9pm non-stop! But a great couple who didn’t mind venturing out into the rain for some photos. :-)
