Trevenna Barns wedding photographer

Fun, Natural, Emotional

There is no setting more perfect than a luxe barn wedding venue in the Cornish countryside and Trevenna Barns in Liskeard is one of my faves.

Situated on Trevenna Farm on the edge of Bodmin Moor, an invitation to be a Trevenna Barns wedding photographer is a brilliant opportunity to capture the happy couple amongst the site’s gorgeous rural features.

From farm animals to hidden country lanes, whimsical farmyard gates, wild deer, waterways, ancient trees and undulating blankets of green moors, Trevenna Barns is a beautiful place and a lovely location for a wedding in Cornwall.

Located in St Neot in Liskeard, just down the road from Bodmin, Trevenna Barns is a sought after wedding venue that combines style, attention to detail and warmth to create a wonderful wedding space with a luxe, yet relaxed feel.

Historically, a family farm for many centuries, in 2007 the family opened their doors to couples wishing to marry. The venue still retains its authentic, warm, family atmosphere alongside all the premium features you want from a top wedding venue.

The site features a complex of six historic barns, a farmhouse and gardens spread over 142 acres of grounds. This is an award-winning, eco wedding venue so you’ll find locally sourced ingredients and a wide range of sustainable practices here.

The wedding team at Trevenna are super accommodating and you can tailor every part of your wedding to your personal taste. You can even hire the site for a few days if you fancy a longer stay.

Below is a short gallery of weddings I have photographed from Trevenna Barns over the past few years. These wedding photographs are some of my favourite I have ever captured. Please take a look through and if you are getting married in the area then please get in touch.

Trevenna Barns is such a special place

There is accommodation for up to 40 of your loved ones on site so this could be a superb choice if you want an extended celebration in the Cornish countryside.

If you want to hire Trevenna Barns for the day, the site is always turned over to you and your guests for your exclusive use, however long you stay.

Glorious Cornish landscapes at every turn

On arrival, your guests can enjoy the 360 degree views across rural Cornwall from the farmhouse bar and garden

Then it is on to one of the venue’s many wedding ceremony spaces. There is something to suit every taste at Trevenna, with a range of different barns and spaces where you can exchange your vows, all beautifully bordered by the natural landscape beyond.

Additionally, there is also a pretty local church nearby, the Church of St. Neot. The church of St. Neot is a divine stone parish church that dates back to the 1300s. It is an idyllic English church with gorgeous period architecture, stained glass windows, vaulted ceilings and lush green surroundings.

The Threshing Barn is a stunning, rustic-chic barn setting with natural stone walls, wood-beamed ceiling, underfloor heating, neutral decor and an elegant glass and walnut staircase for your big entrance.

Alternatively, the Garden Venue Room has floor to ceiling windows on all sides, stone and wood clad walls and a natural slate floor. It’s a wonderful, light-filled, contemporary space with uninterrupted views – on a good day you can see all the way across to Berry Tor.

For a smaller gathering the Shippon Barn has a gorgeous wood beam ceiling, glass log burner and a cosy atmosphere.

Trevenna’s elegant wooden Arbour is a wonderful choice for an outdoor ceremony. Flanked by green lawn, ancient trees, a pond and breathtaking views, this exquisite artisan feature was made using oak and slate traditional methods and local craftsmanship.

The Arbour’s sensitive construction is a reminder of the venue’s strong commitment to sustainable practices and environmentally conscious ethos.

You can also opt to get married in the garden or at the farmhouse for a full choice of venues across the site – all completely different but equally impressive.

“From the moment he arrived on the big day to the last dance we hardly noticed he was there. It wasn’t until we had our photos we were amazed at the most beautiful pictures. Every time we look at our pictures, we get filled with emotion and get taken back to our very special day. “

The space is kitted out with mood lighting, state of the art surround sound and soft ceiling drapes sprinkled with fairy lights for a romantic and modern space where everyone can let their hair down in picturesque surroundings.

The barn complex includes two bars. The Threshing Barn bar is a gorgeous space with walnut cladding and everything from local draft ales to personalised cocktails –  making the Threshing Barn another popular choice for the wedding reception.

The Threshing Barn has all the facilities needed for all types of evening entertainment and offers space for 30 more guests than the Garden Room which can accommodate 120 for the reception.

Catering is done in-house with fresh, local ingredients to the wedding menu design of your choice.

The Wagon House is usually snapped up by the happy couple so they can enjoy some alone time after their wedding. With space for just the two of you, it is an ideal open-plan hideaway, perfect at the end of an idyllic day

Swiss alpes wedding photographer 10

Hi, I'm Paul

With only one opportunity to capture all the drama of both the Swiss Alps and your wedding day, you’ll want to ensure that you have a Swiss Alps wedding photographer who knows what they’re doing. This terrain takes some knowledge.  I, for example, have spent the last 15years as a ski and snowboard instructor and can often be found skiing backwards whilst shooting my couples not something the average wedding photographer can undertake!
