Glendorgal hotel wedding
Back in August this year I photographed Laura and Matt’s Glendorgal hotel wedding in Newquay. It was my first time at the Glendorgal hotel so I met the couple a few days before the wedding to talk through the timeline of the day; it is truly a stunning place for a wedding.
Laura had gone for a “vintage wedding” sourcing all her details from car boots, charity shops. Every guest had their own vintage tea cups & saucers, and the guys had a Royal Marine 350th anniversary beer. All the Bride and bridesmaids had their makeup and hair done my Madame Tashy who specialises in the style of Vintage/poster girl. The vintage theme ran through the whole wedding, with a typewriter to leave personal messages, suitcases for cards, scrabble name places, and 1950’s circle dresses. Not to mention a surprise half way through the meal! A 3 piece female singing group called the The Bombshell Belles.
The day started with the girls getting ready and Laura had kept her dress a surprise from everybody bar her mum, So Laura wanted me to document the bridesmaids seeing it for the first time. After a beautiful wedding ceremony everybody headed outside for some photographs.
After the wedding breakfast the speeches started, and it was quite funny hearing different stories of Matt. The best man had photo shopped Matt’s face on different people, making fun of his ‘curtain’ haircut and his love for the village people song ‘YMCA’.
A Glendrogal Hotel wedding offers breath taking views over North Cornwall, situated in 17 acres of headland overlooking Porth beach. The north coast is the perfect location for a sunset and it didn’t disappoint.
As usual here is a selection of some of my favourites from a Glendorgal Hotel Wedding. Please feel free to share on social media, or leave a comment.

Thank you Paul for this lovely blog about our wedding day. It really was the most perfect day. So glad you captured the sunset too. Absolutely stunning. X
