The Alverton Hotel

The Alverton Hotel is nestled in the heart of Truro and is one of Cornwall’s best 4 star wedding venues. The Alverton is a historical Grade II listed building set in to the hill side of Truro. To one side of the hotel there is the Great Hall, which is licensed for civil ceremonies. The Great Hall features beautiful Cornish stone pillars, marble staging and a grand piano.

The Alverton Manor is the perfect location for your dream wedding with its traditional exterior yet designer style interior. It has beautiful open sun terraces and gardens which offer a stunning backdrop for your wedding day.  The Library which is an extension of the Brasserie can be used for a small ceremony or private dining area, or you can opt for the more glamorous Great Hall which will host up to 140 of your wedding guests.

Darren Friend actually designed my Brand logo for me and his company ‘Design by Friends’ worked closely with The Alverton on their branding, styling/interior design of the hotel.

“The high ceilings, decorative cornicing, coving and fireplaces all need to remain beautifully grand but we also want to add surprising flashes of colour and signature pieces to create the element of surprise and create a sense of theatre. We love to blend classic and contemporary design into all of our interior projects and here at The Alverton Hotel we are excited to be showcasing some of the best British design with wonderfully decadent lighting and furnishing details.” Design by Friends Creative Directors Darren Friend & Kelly Thomas
