Last week saw me photograph Jon and Rachel on their Honeymoon in Cornwall. The couple had their wedding in Somerset a few days before and stayed in a beautiful thatched cottage in Coverack. I was contacted by the company that organised their stay with asking if I could take some photos of Jon and Rachel on their Honeymoon in Cornwall.
We scheduled to meet outside Rick Stein’s on Events Square in Falmouth but and the weather wasn’t really on our side as it had been raining hard all day. We had talked about heading to Maenporth to have some beach shots but I suggested that maybe due to the awful weather, and as we were at Events Square, we could make use of the National Maritime Museum, as this venue has a walk way around the building with a huge overhang that would give us some shelter.
Jon was armed with his umbrella but the shots don’t really show how hard the rain was falling at the time I got pretty soaked as I was the one getting wet while the guys kept dry under the overhang.
We finally did go to Maenporth but due to the incessant heavy rain we opted for a coffee in The Cove Restaurant where Jon and Rachel could choose some of their favourites from the day’s session.
Despite the adverse weather the couple were pleased with the results.
Here are a selection of photographs they choose from their Honeymoon in Cornwall.
